The Postal Network was created
on March 24, 1999, as a necessity of its original owner, Pedro
Sampaio. Cursed by mplayer.com, whose software wouldn't
recognize the game on the hard drive, the idea of creating a
online list of other Postal players was quickly wrapped in a
cheesy website that rapidly grew with participation of other
people.
Within time, the site shaped
into different purposes and its new goal would be on
delivering any sort of news related with Postal and Running
With Scissors. By 2000, the website was practically dead.
By the end of 2001 the domain
postalnetwork.org was registered and the site was being
prepared for next year's big announcement: Postal 2.
Since then the site has
evoluted and expanded its original features, assuming an
important role in the Postal community while hosting the
much-needed modifications, maps and alike for Postal 2.
The rest is history.
